    • Our seniors have worked hard, raised families, and built our communities, they deserve to retire with dignity, security, and the support they need. As your next State Senator, I will fight to protect Social Security and pensions, expand senior services, and ensure quality healthcare and home care for Michigan’s aging population. Michigan’s seniors deserve a state that values and supports them.   • Retirement with Dignity
    • Protect Social Security & Pensions – I will fight to eliminate the pension tax, oppose taxing Social Security, and ensure retirees keep more of what they’ve earned.
    • Expand Home & Community-Based Care – Most seniors prefer to age at home rather than in a facility. I will push to increase funding for home healthcare, raise wages for caregivers, and remove bureaucratic obstacles that make in-home care difficult to access.
    • Better Transportation for Seniors – Reliable, affordable transportation options will help seniors stay active, independent, and connected to their communities.
  • Healthcare & Elder Protections
    • Access to Quality, Affordable Healthcare – No senior should struggle to afford doctor visits, prescriptions, or long-term care. I will fight to expand Medicaid and improve coverage options for seniors.
    • Stop Elder Abuse & Financial Scams – Too many seniors fall victim to fraud, neglect, and abuse. I will work to strengthen laws, fund senior protection programs, and hold bad actors accountable.
  • A Bold Vision for Michigan’s Seniors
    • End the Pension Tax – Retirees shouldn’t be taxed twice on the income they’ve worked for.
    • Improve Senior Housing Options – More affordable, accessible housing choices for older Michiganders.
    • Strengthen Long-Term Care Services – Invest in skilled nursing care, assisted living, and caregiver training to ensure high-quality support.
