  • Fighting for Equity and Justice for All Michiganders
    • As your State Senator, I will continue fighting for equity in health, education, and income for Black and Brown Michiganders. It's time to address these disparities head-on with strong, impactful policies. As your State Senator, I will stand for racial justice, gender equality, and policies that give every Michigander the opportunities they deserve. Together, We Can Build a More Just Michigan, Equity is non-negotiable.
  • Equity in Action
    • Maternal Health & Child Mortality – I will work to eliminate health disparities and ensure equal access to care for all families.
    • Support for Entrepreneurs – I will create opportunities for Black and Brown entrepreneurs to build businesses and strengthen our communities.
    • Criminal Justice Reform – I will push for reforms that end racial profiling, eliminate cash bail, and ensure fairness in the justice system.
  • Legislative Actions That Make a Difference
    • Champion Equity Policies – I led Washtenaw County’s first Equity Policy and will bring this vision to the state level.
    • Affordable Housing – I secured $27 million for supportive housing and will continue to fight for affordable housing for all.
    • Voting Rights – I will fight for no-excuse absentee voting, same-day registration, and measures to ensure every voice is heard.
  • Civil Rights for All
    • Equal Pay – I will continue working to close the gender pay gap and ensure gender equality in every workplace.
    • Women’s Reproductive Rights – I will protect women’s right to choose and ensure access to healthcare.
    • Welcoming Refugees – I will support policies that welcome refugees and strengthen Michigan’s economy.
